Slipform Engineering secures funding for Hunterston DRDT Project through both the Crown Estate and Offshore Wind Growth Partnership (OWGP) Awards

Slipform Engineering has been selected for funding through The Crown Estate Supply Chain Accelerator Round 2. This support is a strong endorsement of our Floating Offshore Wind (FLOW) Roadmap and will enable the critical pre-CAPEX phase of our Demonstration, R&D and Training (DRDT) facility at Hunterston, Scotland.

The Crown Estate’s continued investment in early-stage, enabling activity is vital for turning credible industrial plans into delivery-ready projects. This funding allows us to advance design, validation and site readiness work that underpins scalable, UK-based manufacturing for floating offshore wind.

This support follows the earlier Offshore Wind Growth Partnership announcement on our Hunterston CAPEX phase and represents a separate award from The Crown Estate, focused specifically on the enabling pre-CAPEX activity required to progress the DRDT facility. We are grateful for The Crown Estate’s continued leadership in backing early-stage supply chain development and long-term industrial capability for UK offshore wind.
