SEL acted as Principal contractor during the contract works stage.
Slipform Engineering planned and executed building 5no silos as one Rig. It took 5.5 continuous 24h shifts with approx. 1200sq m of slipform rig deck and 240no men working between the shifts.
Project completed as per original contract programme dates.
Over 5500(3000 of them over the 5 days while Slipforming) cubic m of concrete was poured , approx. 1200T(900 of them over the 5 days while Slipforming) of rebar fixed. Approx 220no various size steel sleeves, upto 850mm dia, and over 160no embed plates were cast during construction, all of the plates and majority of large steel sleeves within the last 2m of Slipforming.
