On this project we constructed 4 no. core for our client Keltbray Structures. On each core we installed 10 QTY embedment plates at every level. Each plate weighing 180kg and measuring 500mm wide x 1400mm high. Concrete placement to the large core’s was via static concrete pump, delivery line, scissor and a slipform mounted BVR12 concrete placing boom. The placing boom was connected to our system by way of mast section and T.W. beam assembly. Design and calculation for this assembly was completed by our in-house design team as standard. On Core 2 the clearance between sheet pile wall and core wall was 400mm. We constructed the core wall between Basement and Ground Level with a narrow-reduced deck assembly measuring only 300mm. Once we reached Ground Level, we adapted our slipform system and introduced our typical deck assemble for the remainder of the slipforming process. On Core 3 the foundation base was made up of 2 different start heights. On this core we climbed half the slipform from low level to high level. At the higher level we connected the second half of slipform and climbed to completion. On Core 4 a section of core wall was cast against the sheet pile wall at one side only. We constructed the core wall between Basement and Ground Level with a one-sided slipform assembly. The concrete was cast against the sheet pile wall, and our system climbed one sided until Ground Level. Once we reached Ground Level, we adapted our slipform system and introduced our typical deck assemble for the remainder of the slipforming process.
